The Bandwagon

Technically I fell off the bandwagon.

Not the drinking bandwagon but rather, my promises and resolutions to myself bandwagon.

It’s interesting to me how often I put my needs in a back corner, spread myself a little too thin and give in to what others need.  Maybe that’s just being a mother. Maybe I’m a wimp and don’t stick up for myself enough.  I don’t really know.

I do know this…It’s been far too long for a post.

So here’s what I’ve been up to:

  • I’ve gotten over the guilt of loosing my littlest man at Monster Jam.  Partly because I’m human and that stuff happens (I’ve heard) also partly because the little shit almost got lost again yesterday, hiking at Minnehaha Falls.
  • I missed the summer school sign up deadline.  I was under the assumption the paperwork was coming, turns out I’ve had it the whole time and it was due a month ago.  Looks like I’ll be a teacher this summer.
  • Hours have officially amped up at work, which is a good thing!
  • I was asked to handle the office phone and social media for the yoga studio I work at.  I’m not entirely sure how that will balance out.
  • I got some tattoo work on my foot.  Some old tattoos covered up and it hurt REALLY bad.
  • My car is officially out of the garage and still beautiful.
  • There are 16 days until school gets out.
  • I’m watching my parents dog for 5 days.  :/
  • My bee house and butterfly houses are up with flower seeds planted!
  • This hot yoga class I’ve been attending is amazing.  Nothing like a good sweat to start the day.
  • Whole 30 works for me and I like it (with some beer and cheese in the program :0 )

That’s basically it.  I’ve been trading house work for sun & son time.  I’ve been trying to breathe and relax in the minutes I do have to myself.

AND

We’re planning some new stuff for Pursue Within.  Steph has taken the mala making to a new level and we’re excited to share them here!

I would love to promise new material every three days but life can just get in the way of that.

I’ll try harder, that is a promise I can make!

Much love,
